The business was established in 1990 to meet the rising demand for Value Added Food Products and has since become a market leader in this area.

We are a dynamic business with a strong focus on maintaining a relevant product range; and building mutually beneficial relationships with our multi-channel partners.

With have an unwavering commitment to quality. Our food safety and conformity policies have been designed to meet the requirements of the SQF 2000 Version 6 code – and are in excess of the minimum requirements of PrimeSafe direction.

Our future planning involves investigating and assessing opportunities for further business development and expansion through innovation. This spirit of innovation and our commitment to service means that we continue to build our reputation amongst our multi-channel partners and the broader market.

Company History

Magic Taste Foods is the principle brand of Northern Meat & Poultry Supplies Pty. Ltd.

Having initially traded as a local poultry retail store, Northern Meat & Poultry Supplies was established in 1990 to meet the rising demand for our quality Value-Added Poultry and, subsequently, Red Meat Products. At this time, all products were produced by hand in a small factory behind the store. By 1991, growing demand forced us to expand into a second facility next door.

By 1993, even that was not enough and the business expanded into a factory in Preston where we implemented our first production line – enhancing the consistency and quality of our products. In 1999, we moved to our current custom built facility – also in Preston where we were able to automate the majority of our production processes and expand our product range. Since then, the company has built in its reputation as an established leader in the supply and manufacture of Value Added Poultry and Red Meat Products.

 

Magic Taste Foods maintains a comprehensive Quality Assurance program and is wholly committed to the principals of Total Quality Management. Apart from our own uncompromising standards, we recognise that, from our customers perspective, inconsistent quality will result in poor sales, costly discounting and discarded product. That is why our policies have been designed to meet the requirements of SQF 2000 and to remain in excess of the minimum requirements of PrimeSafe direction and relevant codes and practices. These principals are applied to every aspect of our business, resulting in a single cohesive framework for food safety. All relevant Food safety certification is available on request.

Magic Taste Food products are scrutinized at every stage of production. Starting from the point of raw material acceptance and continuing along the manufacturing process with visual inspection points along the entire manufacturing line. This comprehensive, tiered process ensures that only the highest quality product is packaged for market, and that our customers receive a consistently high quality Magic Taste Food product.
We understand the part we play in ensuring that every aspect of customer service is met and our customers receive a pleasurable stress free experience. Our business is already streamlined and structured to provide proven standards of excellence in customer service in the retail sector. And with a custom designed software program currently in development, we will be able to plan and manage every detail of our entire customer relationship, making Magic Taste Foods an even better and more reliable partner.
Magic Taste Foods’ warehousing and processing facility has been designed to ensure the cold chain is kept completely intact. Our facility encompasses: • Refrigerated processing area of 950sq meters capable of processing 50 to 60 tonne of product per day • Specifically designed State-of-the-art manufacturing machinery • Combined 800 pallet freezer and refrigerated storage facility • Anti-room running at +3°C for pack-out and delivery, supported by two loading bays As evidence of our quality and reliability, we currently supply Metcash DC Nationally; VIC, NSW, and WA.
Magic Taste Foods is committed to establishing and building strong strategic alliances with our suppliers. These long term contractual agreements with raw material suppliers ensures that we have continuous and consistent supply of the freshest poultry and other raw ingredients available in Australia. In addition we source each products from more than just one supplier, ensuring that the supply chain is for all our products remain uninterrupted.
